§ SIR MATTHEW WHITE RIDLEYI am afraid I am unable to make any statement at present. I wrote to the Chairman of the Commission early in the year, asking for certain preliminary information as to the nature and bulk of the extracts, which I wished to have before communicating with the Treasury, but as yet I have not received his final reply.
