§ SIR EDWARD GOURLEY (Sunderland)I beg to ask the Civil Lord of the Admiralty whether any, and, if so, what number of seamen who have served 10 years in the Naval Reserve are in recipt of the benefits of the Greenwich Hospital Pension Fund, as per Rule 99 of the Admiralty conditions, and which when men enrol are offered as an inducement to join the service.

Member was published in 1861, and dealt with the admission of men as inmates of Greenwich Hospital. In consequence of the Greenwich Hospital Act of 1869 the hospital was closed and no men from the Navy or Reserve have since been admitted.
