§ MR. HEDDERWICKI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can see his way to provide the inhabitants of the Island of Tristan Da Cunha with a resident medical missionary in compliance with their prayer, repeated from year to year, and in conformity with the advice of the Officer commanding H.M.S. Widgeon in 1895?
MR. CHAMBERLAINI fear that Her Majesty's Government cannot do more for the islanders of Tristan da Cunha than send one of Her Majesty's ships to pay a yearly visit, and that everything further must be left to voluntary effort.
