W.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether John Thomas, who pleaded "guilty" to four indictments for larceny at the Middlesex Sessions on Saturday last, was a released convict, subject to police supervision; if so, when was he released from prison; how many monthly reports did he make to the police; and, when did he last report himself prior to his arrest for the larcenies?
§ SIR MATTHEW WHITE RIDLEYThomas was at large under a licence granted him in pursuance of the Penal Servitude Acts. He was released on the 1st January last, made three monthly reports, and last reported himself on the 9th April.
