MR. FIELDI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, (1) whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce a Bill dealing with town tenants in Ireland; (2) whether he is aware that petitions from over forty towns in Ireland have been presented to this House asking for protective legislation; and, (3) whether he can. introduce clauses in the Land Bill to give tenants in towns the same protection for their improvements and tenancy as is afforded to agricultural tenants?
