GERALD BALFOURThe Deputy Governor of Cork male prison was transferred from Belfast to Kilmainham prison, and from Kilmainham to Cork, in the interests of the public service in connection with the promotion and transfer of other officers. The highest official position held by a Roman Catholic in the Cork Prison is that of Medical Officer.
