§ MR. BOUSFIELD (Hackney N.)I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education, whether he is aware of the strong desire which exists in London in favour of substituting the Parliamentary Divisions for the present School Board electoral divisions; and, whether he can give effect to this desire by a suitable provision in the Education Bill?
§ MR. HANBURYNo representation has been actually made to the Committee of Council on the subject by any official body. The Government are afraid that 1436 it is impossible to embody a reform Bill for School Board elections in London in the present Education Bill.
