HC Deb 11 May 1896 vol 40 c996
MR. F. A. CHANNING (Northampton, E.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether he will inquire into the case of T. G. Reed, of 14, Maxwell Road, Fulham, whose goods are alleged to have been seized on Tuesday 14th April, to defray a fine and costs under the Vaccination Acts, and sold on the evening of the same day; and, whether, such a sale is a sale by public auction under the provisions of the Act?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Sir MATTHEW WHITE RIDLEY,) Lancashire, Blackpool

I have made inquiry into this case and am unable to find that there was any irregularity in the proceedings.
