HC Deb 11 May 1896 vol 40 c999
MR. A. H. ACLAND (York, W. R., Rotherham)

I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education, whether, under Clause 4 of the Education Bill, in order to establish a claim to the special aid grant for Voluntary Schools, or any part thereof, a Voluntary School is compelled to become a member of an association; and, whether, if any such school should leave an association, it would forfeit its claim to assistance from the special aid grant?

SIR J. GORST

The answer to these questions is, in the opinion of the Committee of Council, in the negative.
