§ *MR. BRODRICKI perceive that in the Navy Estimates £100 less is taken for interpreters this year than last year. Any further information should be obtained from my hon. Friend the Secretary to the Admiralty. As regards the Army, rates are fixed by the Royal Warrant for officers acting as interpreters; but no sum is taken in the Estimates for the service, except in time of war. There is a charge of £1,500 for civilian interpreters, principally expended in Egypt,
