SCHWANNI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether he has any information that within a year a tariff will be introduced by the French Government in Madagascar of a highly protectionist character, and that British merchants trading to and in that island will no longer enjoy Most-Favoured-Nation treatment, and the old privileges enjoyed hitherto, in their commercial intercourse with Madagascar?
