HC Deb 17 March 1896 vol 38 cc1163-4
MR. THOMAS B. CURRAN

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty, if the Channel Fleet is now going round the Irish coast; and, whether arrangements will be made for it to visit Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle?

THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY

No undertaking can be given that the Channel Squadron will visit any particular ports. Discretion is left to the Admiral to dispose of his Squadron according to what he may think the best method for promoting its efficiency.
