HC Deb 05 March 1896 vol 38 c238
MR. SYDNEY BUXTON (Tower Hamlets, Poplar)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies when he proposes to lay upon the Table the correspondence with the British South Africa Company, showing the nature of the temporary arrangements made with the Company in regard to the control of the armed forces and police, the appointment of magistrates, and other matters of administration?

MR. J. CHAMBERLAIN

The correspondence referred to in the hon. Member's Question is not yet complete, but I hope that in a few days it will be so. I will then lay Papers on the subject.
