MR. PATRICK O'BRIENI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the case of Patrick Lynch, late of the 108th Regiment, who gave 18 years' service, 15 years of it in India, and was engaged in battle at Bandah and several other engagements, was awarded four good-conduct badges and the Indian medal and clasp, and discharged in 1872 on account of disease, the result of long service in India, on a pension of nine-pence per day; whether he is aware that Lynch, being unable to work or support himself on his pension, was obliged to go into the Kilkenny workhouse, where he is at present; and whether, in consideration of his good character and distinguished service, he will increase Lynch's pension to enable him to support himself outside the workhouse?
