HC Deb 26 June 1896 vol 42 c220
THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY

I move, "That the House do now adjourn," and in doing so I beg to give notice that on Monday I shall move the suspension of the 12 o'clock rule—[cheers]—for the Rating Bill, not that I anticipate the sitting need be a long one, but because, in case of accidents, it is desirable that that limitation should be removed. I may add that I shall not take the Report of to-night's Supply until Tuesday.

In reply to Mr. W. A. MCARTHUR (Cornwall, St. Austell),

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY

said it was not their intention to have a very prolonged sitting on Tuesday on the Finance Bill, but if by chance it would seem necessary to sit long he would put off the Report of Supply to a later date.

House adjourned at Five minutes after Twelve o'clock till Monday next.
