HC Deb 08 June 1896 vol 41 cc614-5
SIR WILLIAM HOULDSWORTH (Salford, S.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India if his attention has been drawn to a report of the execution of 23 leading Indian merchants at Kilwa in German East Africa, for alleged complicity in a rebellious rising in that district; and if he can give any information on the subject?

MR. CURZON

We have heard nothing of the alleged execution on Indian merchants at Kilwa; nor have I seen the report to which my hon. Friend alludes.
