§ MR. JASPER TULLY (Leitrim, S.)I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether his attention has been called to the death of a workman named Hugh Gilheany, who was killed while in the employment of Messrs. Duncan and Sons, of Glasgow, in the month of June 1894; that his father Thomas Gilheany, of Ballinamore, county Leitrim, has made repeated complaints that the police in the Southern Police Station Glasgow, allowed his son's property to be carried oil by strangers; and whether he will order a full inquiry and direct that steps be taken to restore to Thomas Gilheany the value of his son's property which he lost through the action of the police?
§ * THE LORD ADVOCATEI have nothing to add to the answer given to the hon. Member on the 27th February by my predecessor after full inquiry, when he was informed that the police were never in charge of the property referred to and consequently cannot be asked to restore the value.
