§ MAJOR RASCHI beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether his attention has been drawn to the fact, as stated by the Sanitary Commissioner to the Government of India in his Report for 1894, that 3,062 men are constantly ineffective from venereal disease, and how on an emergency the Government would propose to replace them in the ranks?
§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTONI have observed with regret the reported increase in the average number of European troops disabled at one time from venereal disease. I am not aware of any means by which they could be replaced on an emergency.
