§ * SIR CHARLES DILKEI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, if he can make any statement with regard to negotiations with France as to Madagascar; and, whether concessions by the Government of Madagascar made before the recent invasion have been divided into two classes, of which one is to be regarded as void, while the other is to be annulled with compensation?
MR. CURZONThe negotiations with France as to Madagascar are still pending and I regret that I have at present nothing to add to the last statement which I made on the subject. It is understood that no final decision has yet been taken by the French Government in regard to concessions in the island.
