§ MR. D. LLOYD-GEORGE (Carnarvon Boroughs)I beg to ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office, whether he is aware that the men employed at Messrs. Kynoch and Company's works are being forced to sign agreements to belong to no trade union society; and whether the firm have any War Office contracts; and, if so, what action the War Office propose to take in reference to such contracts, having regard to the promise made by Sir John Hibbert in a similar case?
MR. POWELL-WILLIAMSI have no knowledge beyond what is stated in the newspapers of the matter referred to 1643 in the Question; but if any complaint should come to hand it will be investigated. Messrs. Kynoch are the holders of Army contracts.
