HC Deb 15 July 1896 vol 42 c1572

On the Motion, "That this House do now adjourn,"

MR. DALZIEL

asked what business would be taken on the following day. Were the Government going on with the Irish Land Bill?

THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. R. W. HANBURY, Preston)

Yes.

MR. DALZIEL

asked if it was true that the Scotch Rating Bill was to be taken next week?

MR. HANBURY

said he could not tell the hon. Member, but he would be able to inform him to-morrow.

DR. TANNER

said he would like to call attention to the fact that on the previous night the Closure was moved by the hon. Member for the western division of Cumberland (Mr. Hubert Duncombe), a Motion which was not allowed, but there was no entry of it in the journals of the House. He called attention to the error so that it might be rectified.

*MR. SPEAKER

I do not recollect the circumstance myself, but I will inquire.

House adjourned at Ten minutes before Six o'clock.
