MR. J. H. ROBERTS (Denbighshire, W.)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been drawn to the application of the Colwyn Bay Urban District Council for powers under Section 33 of The Local Government Act, 1894, with reference to allotments and local charities; whether he is aware of the delay that occurred in dealing with the application; and, whether he will give the matter his attention?
§ MR. CHAPLINWith regard to the question of allotments, the Board are awaiting a reply to a letter which they addressed to the Urban District Council on the 12th November last, asking for certain information with regard to their proposal. On the 8th of this month the Board reminded the District Council 830 that they had not received the information asked for. No reply has, as yet, been received by the Board. With respect to charities, the Board on the 18th instant received certain information for which they had applied in December last, and, subject to the concurrence of the Charity Commissioners, the Board are prepared to issue the Order applied for.
