§ MR. JASPER TULLY (Leitrim, S.)I beg to ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether it is intended to grant any compassionate allowance or pension to John Brennan, of Boyle, formerly a private in the 41st Regiment, who served in the Crimean war at the siege of Sebastopol, was wounded in the attack of the 18th June by the bursting of a shell, and was discharged from the Army in 1855 with a pension of 6d. a-day for nine months; and whether, as he is now totally destitute, and is in receipt of outdoor relief from the Guardians of Boyle Union, he is prepared to 456 recommend that a grant be made to him from the fund for the relief of the destitute war veterans?
