BHOWNAGGREEI beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether the Inquiry regarding applications for concessions for the building of railways under the scheme promulgated by the Government of India in 1893 which he had instituted is complete; and, if he will place upon the Table of the House at an early date the Return promised by him on 19th June last?
§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTONThe promised Inquiry was duly made by a letter addressed to the Government of India on the 26th June, but sufficient time has not yet elapsed for receipt of a reply. As soon as the Return is received it will be laid upon the Table.
