KEARLEY), I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether it is the intention of the Admiralty to continue the Particular Service Squadron in commission for a prolonged period, or whether there is any prospect of it being paid off or returning to England before the end of the year.
§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTYThe course to be taken with regard to the maintenance of the Particular Service Squadron in commission must depend upon a variety of circumstances, and I am not prepared to make a statement on the subject at present.
