HC Deb 03 August 1896 vol 43 cc1354-5
MR. KILBRIDE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will consider the desirability of having a revision of the examination papers of the National School teachers who presented themselves for promotion at the July examinations 1896; whether he will suggest that the district inspectors of the different districts may assist in the revision; and, whether the teachers who presented themselves for promotion will get the benefit of the good marks for teaching in the schools in connection with their answering in the recent examination papers?

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

I have referred this Question to the Commissioners of National Education, by whom it will be considered at their next meeting to be held on the 11th instant.
