§ MR. J. P. FARRELL (Cavan, W.)asked what would be the effect in Ireland of the tax to be imposed on motor cars?
§ THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. HENRY CHAPLIN,) Lincolnshire, Sleafordsaid that the Bill did not affect Ireland at all. The tax was an addition to the existing Carriage Tax, and there was no Carriage Tax in Ireland.
§ MR. J. H. DALZIEL (Kirkcaldy Burghs)thought it very strange that Ireland should be exempted from this Bill.
