DALY (Monaghan, N.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, (1) if he has received a memorial from the tenants of the Bath Estate, county Monaghan, who purchased their farms under the Ash-bourne Acts, for an extension of time in payment of their instalments from 49 to 75 years; and (2) whether he will grant the prayer of the memorialists before the next instalment day arrives?
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURMemorials have been received from the tenants on other properties in this county, but I do not appear to have received one from the Bath tenants. As to the second part of the Question, I must refer the hon. Member to the provisions of the Land Bill.
