Friend the Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs a Question of which I have given him private notice—namely, whether he can give the House any information with regard to the statement which has appeared in the papers that Major Lothaire, the murderer of the Irishman Stokes ["Oh, oh!" and "Hear, hear!"] has been tried and acquitted at Boma?
MR. CURZONWe have received no telegraphic Dispatch from our Vice-Consul at Boma, who is taking an official part in the proceedings. I can, therefore, only conclude that the information in the newspaper, if not incorrect, is at any rate premature.
