§ MR. MCCARTANI beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade, with reference to the erection of the proposed new siren on Mew Island, Belfast Lough, whether he can state what progress has been made with the erection, and if he can say about what date it will be completed?
§ MR. RITCHIEI am informed by the Commissioners of Irish Lights that the contractor promised to dispatch the new siren from London yesterday (Thursday). The Commissioners add that immediately on receipt the siren will be forwarded to the Mew Island and erected without delay.
