Member for Waterford, Mr. John Redmond, I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade, whether he is aware that the employés of the Waterford and Limerick Railway are obliged to work over the statutable hours; and, whether he will institute an inquiry into the matter?
§ MR. RITCHIEThere are no statutable hours, but if the hon. Member is in a position to make a complaint in 1563 writing on behalf of the men, indicating the hours which are deemed to be excessive, I will cause inquiry to be made under the Railway Regulation Act, 1893.
