BIRRELLI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can supply the House with any information as to the total of the sums of money (if any) which have been paid since 1876 by the Government of Canada to Great Britain in respect of duties collected by Canada under the provisions of the Foreign Reprints Act 365 (10 and 11 Viet., c. 95), which permitted the introduction into Canada of Foreign reprints of British books on proper provision being made, by means of a duty to be collected by Canada, for the remuneration of the British author?
