HC Deb 21 May 1895 vol 33 c1723
DR. CLARK (Caithness)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade why the proposal of the Northern Lighthouse Commissioners to erect a fog signal on Noss Head has not been carried out; whether the Trinity House Commissioners have sanctioned or opposed the proposed signal; and whether the Board of Trade have given their consent to it?

MR. BRYCE

The proposal of the Commissioners of Northern Lighthouses to erect a fog signal on Noss Head was remitted for the statutory sanction of the Trinity House to the work. Since this was done the Board of Trade have received no communication either from the Trinity House or the Commissioners of Northern Lighthouses.
