HC Deb 21 May 1895 vol 33 cc1712-3
MR. RANKIN (Herefordshire, Leominster)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture, if he can now state whether the German Government have relaxed their restrictions against the importation of British cattle; and if it is now possible for exporters of British cattle to obtain permission to send breeding stock into Germany?

Her Majesty's Ambassador at Berlin was instructed, on the 15th March last, to make a representation on the subject to which the hon. Member refers, but no reply has as yet been received from the German Government.
