§ SIR GEORGE BADEN-POWELL (Liverpool, Kirkdale)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether the Venezuelan Government has yet afforded Her Majesty's Government any explanations, asked for nearly three months ago, of the action of Venezuelan armed forces last January in marching into British territory, hauling down the British flag, making prisoners of British police officers, and forcibly conducting them out of British into Venezuelan territory; and, if so, can he now state the purport of the explanations, and what course the Government intends to pursue?
