Member for Cambridge University (Sir JOHN GORST), I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, why the presentation to Parliament of the Report of the Factory Inspectors for 1892–3–4 has been delayed; and whether it is possible to make it accessible to Members before the Committee on the Factory Bill is closed?
§ MR. ASQUITHThe Report was presented to Parliament yesterday. It will, I hope, be issued in a few days. The delay of some weeks in the publication is due to the printers, but it has to be remembered that the Report is a long one, and that a large number of plans and diagrams had to be reproduced for publication. Arrangements have been made to obtain some proof copies for the use of members of the Standing Committee on Trade.
