MR. JAMES LOWTHER (Kent, Thanet)gave notice that on the Second Reading of the Customs and Inland Revenue Bill he would move an Amendment declaring that, in the opinion of that House, the beer duty should be readjusted with a view to the removal of taxation on home-grown barley and hops, and that an import duty should be imposed on foreign barley and hops.
