HC Deb 07 May 1895 vol 33 cc625-6
MR. J. MAINS (Donegal, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the Channel Squadron will visit Lough Foyle this summer; and, if so, when?

*THE SECRETARY TO THE ADMIRALTY (Sir U. KAY-SHUTTLEWORTH,) Lancashire, N. E., Clitheroe

The movements of the Channel Squadron for the summer have not yet been settled; but the desire expressed by the hon. Member that Lough Foyle should be visited by the squadron, will be considered, and, I hope, with a favourable result.

CAPTAIN DONELAN

I hope the right hon. Gentleman will remember Queenstown.

*SIR U. KAY-SHUTTLEWORTH

I also hope the squadron may be able to visit Queenstown.

MR.W. JOHNSTON (Belfast, S.)

And Belfast also?

*SIR U. KAY-SHUTTLEWORTH

I am afraid I cannot answer for every port in Ireland.

MR. JOHNSTON

Oh, you must remember Belfast!
