HC Deb 07 May 1895 vol 33 cc632-3
MR. JAMES WILLIAM LOWTHER (Cumberland, Penrith)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the dispute with Nicaragua has been terminated; and if so, upon what terms?

SIR E. GREY

The British Admiral has left Corinto, having received a letter from the Government of Nicaragua, promising under the guarantee of the Government of Salvador to pay the indemnity in London in a fortnight, and accepting the other terms of the ultimatum.
