had the following question on the paper:— To ask the Secretary of Stale fur India if he will consider the propriety of recognising the heroic conduct of Dr. Robertson in defending Chitral, and also of Dr. Whitechurch who, while carrying a wounded officer off the field, had to fight his way back to the fort at the point of the bayonet. He said; In consequence of representations which had been made to me, and which I respect, I beg to withdraw this question, but at the same time I should like, with the permission of the House, to explain that while—[Cries of "Order.'']
