WILLIAM O'BRIEN (Cork)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has yet come to any decision as to the appointment of a Commission, after the model of the Highlands and Islands 282 Commission, to inquire what lands are available for the purpose of enlarging the holdings of small tenants in the congested districts of Ireland, and as to whether the powers provided by Scotch crofter legislation for the acquisition of such lands can be made applicable to Ireland?
