HC Deb 19 March 1895 vol 31 c1372
SIR D. MACFARLANE

I beg to ask the Postmaster General if his attention has been called to the great inconvenience caused to the public in Mull, Coll and Tiree by the breaking of the telegraph wire between Oban and Tohermory; and when he expects that communication will be re-established?

MR. ARNOLD MORLEY

I am, of course, well aware of the interruption of the telegraph cable to Mull, and it will, I hope, be possible to send one of the ships of the Department to repair it within a fortnight.
