MR. T. CURRANI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, whether he has received a resolution of the Grand Jury of Sligo requesting that funds be provided for the carrying out of the Owenmore Drainage Scheme; and, whether it is intended to comply with the request.
MR. J. MORLEYI have received a copy of the resolution in question, and am informed by the Board of Works that works of this class cannot be undertaken unless the steps required by the Drainage Acts have been taken by the owners and occupiers directly interested.
