§ MR. J. B. BALFOURA Bill has already been prepared to give effect to one of the most important recommendations of the Commission—namely, to provide for the acquisition by Local Authorities, voluntarily or compulsorily, of land for workmen's houses; and also to simplify the procedure for the acquisition by Local Authorities of land for the purposes for which they have already power to acquire it. The Bill will probably be introduced shortly.
