HC Deb 04 March 1895 vol 31 c291
SIR C. DILKE (Gloucester, Forest of Dean)

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the Navy Supplementary Estimates are likely to be moved; and when the Motion to first go into Committee on the Navy Votes for the coming financial year is likely to be made?

MR. R. W. HANBURY (Preston)

Can the right hon. Gentleman also give the House some information with regard to the Army Estimates?

SIR W. HARCOURT

I understand that the Estimates are all ready, and that they are in the hands of the printers. I had hoped that all the Estimates would be circulated on Wednesday, but I am told now that it will probably be Thursday.

SIR C. DILKE

How soon will the Navy Supplementary Estimates be ready?

SIR W. HARCOURT

It is the intention of the Government to proceed at once with the Civil Service Supplementary Estimates, and then to go on with the Navy.

MR. LEONARD COURTNEY (Cornwall, Bodmin)

Are the Civil Service Estimates to be put down for tomorrow?

SIR W. HARCOURT

Yes.
