HANBURYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether, since the India Office communicated with the Government of India more than 12 months ago on the subject of flogging in the native army of the Crown, any decision has been arrived at with reference to its continuance or abolition; and whether he will lay the Correspondence upon the Table?
§ MR. HENRY FOWLERNo decision has yet been arrived at on the subject of flogging in the native Army in India. Until the correspondence is completed it cannot be laid upon the Table.
