SIR WALTER FOSTERThe Select Committee on the adulteration of food products have not yet reported. From the evidence before them it appears that there is no legal standard of water in butter, and Somerset House has not fixed any such standard. When the Committee have reported, I hope local authorities will be better informed on the matter.
