On the Order for the Second Reading of this Bill,

MR. BROMLEY-DAVEN PORT (Macclesfield)

objected.

MR. J. BAKER (Portsmouth)

asked the hon. Member to withdraw his objection, as the Board of Trade were willing that the Bill should be read a second time, if it were not proceeded with further until the Report of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies had been received.

MR. BROMLEY-DAVENPORT

said, that the Board of Trade had not yet made up their mind on the question, arid he must persist in his objection.

The Order accordingly stood over.
