HC Deb 26 February 1895 vol 30 c1559
SIR G. BADEN-POWELL (Liverpool, Kirkdale)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any, and, if so, what, steps have been taken towards carrying out the resolution come to at the Ottawa Colonial Conference that the Imperial, Australian, and the South African Governments should communicate on the subject of the rough survey of a route for a submarine cable to connect Australasia with South Africa?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (Mr. SYDNEY BUXTON,) Tower Hamlets, Poplar

The matter is still under consideration.
