HC Deb 18 February 1895 vol 30 c969
MR. H. LABOUCHERE

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether it is in contemplation to ask this House to vote any money, or to consent to any borrowing of money, in connection with a railway between Uganda and the coast, during the present Session?

SIR W. HARCOURT

No, Sir. It is not contemplated in the present Estimates to ask for any money for the purpose mentioned. As to the future, nothing can be said in the present state of the relations between the Government and the company.
